IPFSAPH portal user survey summary

Introduction and overview

An online user survey was available from the IPFSAPH portal home page (www.ipfsaph.org) for 2 months (from August to October 2005). It was available in English, French and Spanish. It consisted of 9 questions, all of which were optional.

The survey received 504 responses, with the following language distribution:
• Spanish - 251 responses
• English - 197 responses
• French - 56 responses

It is worth noting that while web statistics indicate a steady growth of use of the Spanish pages of the portal and from users in Mexico and South America, they show higher use of the English pages.

Nevertheless, the relatively high proportion of users who chose to answer the survey in Spanish (about half) is a positive indication of interest in the portal from users from Spanish speaking countries.
